Smart Ideas for the Smarted Generation
The newer the generation, the smarter it is going to be. With time everything has evolved in different ways. The education, its system, syllabus, method of teaching, learning, and everything related to it. Let’s focus on how students can study a vast syllabus in lesser time with being smart & catching up on life.
1. Follow your mentor
Teachers have been playing an important role in students’ life since ancient times. Methods of teaching have changed, but not their value. They are TEACHERS for a reason. Knowledge, experience, problem-solving & many more qualities make them stand on the 2nd position after parents. Concentrate on what they teach, because only they will tell you internal tricks on specific chapters. They will explain in a simpler language with better examples and decades of experience.
2. Make a schedule
Create a timetable for your day, so that you give proper time to everything. Cover multiple subjects rather than concentrating on just one subject per day. Giving time to sleep & outdoor playing is equally important. Follow that routine so you can also match up with your professor’s speed.
3. Flowcharts, pie charts & Videos
Understanding & learning Theory is difficult and that is a fact. So to make it easier read chapters thoroughly & reduce them to flowcharts & pie charts. Refer recorded videos or reference videos from popular teachers on digital platforms. This way you read the chapters properly, understanding wider content quicker and in keywords so that you can elaborate it in your exams.
4. Practical application
Practical application of what you learn or read is necessary, only then you will be able to remember it effectively. Science is a subject where you need practical elaboration to understand what exactly happens, then and then only you can explain the answer in your own words with the help of the keywords you remember. But, for language & literature, the scenario slightly changes. Here, you have to apply what you read. Language & literature are mainly dependent on grammar & vocabulary. Reading, listening, writing are also parts of the subject, but again if you don’t utilize it in your daily life, you won’t be able to excel in it.
5. Be kind to yourself
It is good that you stick to a schedule, but sometimes let go. Have your me-time & take naps or wake up late on weekends sometimes. Don’t overwork yourself during exams, take sufficient rest. Spend quality time with your family now that covid has locked us all in. Contact old friends, play games and take some time off of studies and give it a restart after a well-deserved break.
